The Business Analyst will act as a bridge between sustainability, finance, risk, data, and technology teams, translating regulatory requirements, strategic ESG objectives, and business needs into robust data and reporting solutions. The position plays a central role in enabling high‑quality, transparent, and compliant ESG data across the organization, supporting regulatory disclosures, decision‑making, and Luminor’s long‑term sustainability ambitions.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Data & Requirements Management

  • Requirements Engineering: Lead the process of gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing business, functional, and data requirements for change initiatives

  • Data Analysis & Design: Develop a deep understanding of the domain's data assets. Design and document data-related solutions, including data mappings, transformation logic, and business rules to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture

  • End-to-End Vision: Maintain a holistic view of business and data requirements, ensuring traceability and identifying dependencies and synergies across the organization.

Data Stewardship & Governance

  • Data Quality & Metadata: Establish and execute data quality frameworks, including root-cause analysis, issue remediation, and monitoring. Develop and maintain comprehensive metadata, including business glossaries, data dictionaries, and data lineage

  • Data Modeling & Standards: Participate in the development of logical data models and uphold data management standards to ensure data is consistent, compliant, and fit for purpose

  • Governance & Improvement: Promote data governance best practices and continuously identify opportunities to optimize data management processes and solutions to improve decision-making.

Collaboration & Enablement

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the bridge between business and technical teams, managing stakeholder communication

  • Cross-Functional Delivery: Work closely with Data Engineering, IT, BI, and business teams to support project delivery and the successful consumption of data across systems

  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Serve as a subject matter expert, coaching and mentoring junior team members in data management and business analysis

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Business Analysis, Data Management, or a similar role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry

  • Knowledge of Sustainability (ESG – environmental, social, and governance) regulatory principles or professional experience will be considered as an advantage

  • Strong expertise in data management and governance, including data quality assessment, logical data modeling, and understanding data warehouse/BI concepts. SQL proficiency is highly preferred

  • Proven experience in requirements engineering and business process modeling, with a strong command of both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies

  • High proficiency with professional tools, including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and project management software like Jira and Confluence

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Result orientation and solution focus

  • Educational background in IT, Economics, Mathematics, Business Management, Finance or similar

  • Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level
