Solution Architect

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to support the design and development of our eCommerce systems. You will work on improving how our digital platforms function, consolidating overlapping capabilities, and helping implement solutions that create a smooth omnichannel experience for customers. You’ll also collaborate closely with other ecommerce and retail architects to ensure retail and online systems work well together.

In this role, you’ll review existing systems, define clear solution approaches, and support engineering teams during development and implementation. You should be comfortable working directly with product, engineering, and business teams to make sure our eCommerce platforms are reliable, scalable, and aligned with long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain architectural strategy for internal and 3rd party systems.
• Proactively identify opportunities to streamline, consolidate or improve existing systems.
• Collaborate with other architects to ensure consistent architectural direction across online and in-store touchpoints.
• Work with business and technical teams to translate requirements into clear technical specifications and solution designs.
• Guide engineering teams during development and implementation activities, ensuring alignment with architectural standards.
• Document and maintain architectural diagrams, integration patterns, and system design artifacts.
• Assess emerging tools, frameworks, and technologies to support system landscape modernization.
• Provide input on infrastructure needs and deployment models across cloud and on-prem environments when relevant.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 2 years in solutions architecture or technical leadership.
• Strong experience with eCommerce systems, digital platforms, or customer-facing web/mobile applications.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into practical and scalable solution designs.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with modern eCommerce platforms (Composable Commerce platforms, Content Management, Order Management etc.).
• Experience with omnichannel implementations or customer experience unification across digital and physical channels.
• Familiarity with on-prem / hybrid infrastructure environments.
