We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant who will work with Director of Finance, in an efficient and compliant manner manage accounting and contribute to financial reporting, oversee the work of outsourced bookkeepers and specialists for accounting transactions as well as payroll.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting transactions in assigned entities in Lithuania & United States (Dynamics Business Central (Navision))
  • Manage invoicing and revenue recognition
  • Perform ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable
  • Ensure timely bank payments and intercompany transfers
  • Oversee payroll performed by outsourced suppliers
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings and produce accounting reports
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures, assist in developing groupwide accounting policies
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
  • Help with audits
  • Help with implementing financial control in the group

Requirements

  • +3 years of proven experience as an accountant in multinational environment.
  • University degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting
  • Good spoken and written Lithuanian and English
  • Responsible, self-disciplined, accurate, capable to meet tight deadlines
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is considered as an advantage
  • Awareness of business trends
  • Hands-on experience with Business Central/Navision accounting software would be considered an advantage
  • Professional certificates would be considered an advantage
