What will it be like working here?

We are looking for a Java Developer to join our Frameworks & Messaging team. We are a multinational team focused on the highest quality and performance. The team is responsible for developing application frameworks and low-latency high performance messaging for our Trading & Clearing products. This position gives you the opportunity to work with a highly skilled and friendly team of engineers.

What will you be doing?

You, along with the team, will be involved in enhancing and supporting our products and interacting with many Engineers within Nasdaq. We work with trust and transparency and this role requires a person not afraid of working independently as well as collaborating.

Furthermore, you will:  

    • Work in an agile environment where we constantly improve ourselves and our workflows, making sure that our work is productive, efficient and fun. 

    • Contribute to all stages of the product life cycle: requirement, design, implementation, testing, deployment, automation and support. 

    • Collaborate globally with Product teams within Nasdaq and sometimes with our external clients. 

    • Build and tune the products for on-prem, cloud and hybrid deployment. 

Who are we looking for?

  • Software development experience of 5+ years.
  • Bachelor/master’s in computer science or similar.  
  • Strong Experience in java, high-performance transactional platforms, modern architecture, continuous integration/delivery and automation.
  • Previous experience working with development tools such as Git and CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Eagerness to drive the evolution of our products forward with ideas, designs and improvements.
  • Passion for building great products and writing clean and beautiful code.  
  • Curiosity and a highly collaborative work style, a desire to contribute what you already know, educate the people around you, and bravely dive into new territories.  
     

It would be great if you  

  • Have some experience/knowledge in financial industry.
  • High-performance transactional platforms. 
  • Have some experience in C++ or are open to learn.
  • Have experience working in agile team.
