We seek a  Risk Reporting Technical Lead with expertise in both current (ETL, EDW, BI) and future data technologies ( Data Mesh,  Data as Product  etc). In this strategic role, you will be responsible for designing and leading the development of current risk reporting domain solutions as well as designing the future solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish best practices, build data products, and enable data democratization across the organization.

You will play a critical role in defining the roadmap for our data infrastructure, ensuring data availability, scalability, and security while enabling data engineering, science, analytics, and business teams to leverage data effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership and banking experience, and a deep understanding of modern data technologies and best practices.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the Risk Reporting Tech Strategy: Develop and execute the vision and strategy for our risk reporting solutions, aligning with the bank’s goals and business objectives
  • Design and Implement Data Mesh Framework: Lead the adoption and implementation of Data Mesh principles, ensuring that data is treated as a product and managed across decentralized domains
  • Data as a Product: Work with data product owners to define, build, and maintain data products that are reliable, accessible, and usable across various business units
  • Architecture & Design: Oversee the architecture of data pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers, architects, and platform specialists. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Data Integration: Ensure seamless integration of various data sources (internal and external) into the data platform, using modern ETL/ELT frameworks
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Leverage cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to manage and scale the data platform
  • Data Governance & Security: Implement data governance policies, ensuring data quality, privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, DORA)


What We Expect:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform management, or similar roles
  • Proven experience leading data platform architecture and implementation in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Solid understanding of data governance, security best practices, and compliance standards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and build high-performing teams in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication
