As a Product Owner in Data Platform, you will be joining the warm, friendly, passionate, diverse, and inclusive Data Platform / Data Mesh team within the Data Management Department in Luminor.
You will own and shape Luminor’s Data Platform as a product, enabling business and technology teams to publish, discover, and consume data products through real‑time streaming and analytical data services.
This is a platform product role – your customers are internal domain teams, analysts, engineers, and data consumers across the bank.
Your mission is to ensure the platform provides secure, scalable, and self-service capabilities that enable domain teams to independently develop, publish, discover, and manage data products across the organization.

Own the vision, roadmap, and backlog of the Data Platform, aligned with Luminor’s data and business strategy
Act as the primary interface between business domains, data teams, and platform engineers
Define and prioritize platform capabilities such as: event streaming (Kafka); schema management and data contracts; data ingestion and processing (streaming and batch); data Lake and analytical data products; self‑service onboarding and tooling for domain teams
Translate strategic objectives and consumer needs into clear product goals, epics, and user stories
Ensure the platform delivers measurable value, usability, and reliability for its consumers
Balance short‑term delivery needs with long‑term platform scalability and sustainability
Drive alignment on non‑functional requirements (security, performance, availability, data quality)
Collaborate closely with Architects, Engineers, Business Analysts, and Data Stewards to ensure coherent platform evolution
Support adoption of Data Mesh principles and productoriented data ownership across the organization
Ensure platform capabilities support governance, traceability, and regulatory expectations in a banking environment
Experience working as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role for technology or data platforms
Strong understanding of data platforms, analytics ecosystems, or event‑driven architectures
Ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders and align them around a shared vision
Experience with agile product ownership practices (backlog management, prioritization, value‑driven delivery)
High‑level familiarity with topics such as: event streaming (e.g. Kafka); Data platforms and data lakes; Data products, data contracts, and platform enablement; Metadata, data discovery, and data quality capabilities in modern data platforms
Familiarity with regulatory expectations around data governance and resilience (e.g., BCBS 239, DORA, GDPR) would be beneficial.
Strong communication, facilitation, and decision‑making skills
Curiosity, ownership mindset, and willingness to shape a platform that serves many teams
Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level

Gross salary. 4760-7600 EUR/month, which is to be determined depending on your level of experience and competencies
