Littelfuse R&D is seeking a Product Design Engineer to design, develop, and improve products for the automotive industry. In this role, you will evaluate design options, provide recommendations to meet requirements, and ensure results align with automotive standards. You will also perform design tasks, analyze outcomes, and contribute to innovative solutions that advance product safety and performance.
 

About the job:

  • Contribute to the development and support of automotive sensors and heaters product families (e.g., seatbelt buckle detection, occupant detection, Fuel heaters, level sensors), including product design and modifications

  • Coordinate activities for the product development to ensure successful design and launch of new products

  • Analyze and translate customer requirements into platform product specifications

  • Develop and track product development plans

  • Prototype, simulate, and test designs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

  • Drive innovative technical solutions

  • Manage global stakeholders, both internal and external

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field

  • At least 2 years of working experience in electronics product design, product development, technical projects or similar practice

  • Experience managing external partners and suppliers is beneficial

  • High level of verbal and written communication skills in English language

  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions

  • Proactive self-starter with a strong drive to learn and apply new concepts

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

The salary range for this position is 2900 EUR gross – 3200 EUR gross per month but the final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate.
