The heart of the role
Contract Negotiation and Procurement Management:
- Lead in the negotiation of new contracts and contract renewals, ensuring optimal commercial terms for Phoenix Group.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities by analyzing procurement data and monitoring expenditure leveraging existing tools.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supplier agreements, procurement activities, and savings opportunities.
Financial and Data Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze procurement data in existing tools to track expenditure trends and highlight efficiency opportunities.
- Analyze spend data and supplier performance to identify cost-reduction opportunities and support strategic procurement decisions; collaborating with data, sourcing and category teams and leverage existing tools to generate actionable insights.
Compliance and Vendor Onboarding:
- · Work closely with legal, compliance and other relevant departments to onboard vendors in accordance with Phoenix Groups internal policies, and client requirements.
- · Ensure that all procurement processes align with regulatory standards and risk management protocols.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to proactively manage purchases and secure the best commercial deals.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and savings tool by providing feedback, identifying inefficiencies, and supporting the adoption of best practices.
- Outcome: A streamlined, insight-driven procurement function that supports financial goals, minimizes risk, and delivers optimal value through strong supplier partnerships.
What makes you beat
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and compare complex spend and savings data.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for procurement data analysis and reporting.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of legal contract review and negotiation.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a procurement or commercial-based role.
- Proven track record of contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost-saving initiatives.
