Are you ready for a role as the primary go-to specialist for guidance on IT security?

We are looking for an IT Security Advisor who can oversee and develop our existing IT security framework and be the day-to-day responsible for ensuring that our IT security standards are implemented internally by our colleagues in Group IT, and by our external IT suppliers.

Now is the chance to join our Information Security Team at our office in Vilnius as our new IT Security Advisor, where you will be responsible for developing and enforcing security policies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your skills will be vital in protecting our organization against potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities. If you have a broad understanding of IT architecture and technologies, a structured, pragmatic approach to solving complex tasks, and strong skills in collaborating and guiding others, this is a promising chance for you to contribute to enhancing our security framework at COWI. The primary focus of the IT Security Advisor is to ensure that our IT security standards (part of our Information Security Framework) are implemented and ensure that the standards are updated when relevant.

Organizationally, the role is placed in COWI's Information Security Team, headed by our Chief Information Security Officer. The Information Security Team is placed within Group Finance, but have close daily collaboration with Group IT, HR, Legal and other departments. The Information Security Team is responsible for Governance, Risk and Compliance activities, but do not perform any operational IT Security tasks – these are managed by Group IT.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Participate in IT projects, ensuring secure implementation of new IT services.
  • Inform, advise and support your colleagues across COWI on how to implement IT security.
  • Perform regular assessments for compliance with our IT security policies.
  • Ensure to document and report any issues identified, so we can plan actions to improve.
  • Improve and maintain our IT Security policies and documentation, e.g.:
  • Guidance for data backup frequency, retention, and storage solutions.
  • Guidance for cryptographic methods for protecting data in transit and at rest.
  • Guidance for granting, reviewing, and revoking user access rights.
  • Guidance for logging and monitoring requirements for critical systems and applications.
  • Guidance for identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities across systems.
  • Guidance for the selection and use of Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.

  • You are an experienced professional within the field of IT security, IT operations and infrastructure.
  • You have a university degree or equivalent.
  • Professionally proficient in spoken and written English.
  • You have effective communication skills, and you are good at managing your stakeholders.

Salary for this position starts from 3750 to 5200 EUR before taxes. We believe in your professional capability, therefore the final offer will be based on your skills and experience.
