Job Overview
We are looking for a Staff Scientist, Process Development to lead the development and scale-up of next-generation chromatography and sample preparation consumables.
In this role, you will combine scientific expertise with process development and manufacturing readiness, helping transform innovative concepts into robust, scalable products. Working at the intersection of R&D and Operations, you will play a key role in developing new technologies, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring successful commercialization of innovative consumable products.
This is an opportunity to influence both product innovation and manufacturing strategy while working with multidisciplinary teams across a global organization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead process development and scale-up activities for chromatography columns, separation media, and sample preparation consumables
Design, execute, and analyze experiments to optimize product performance, process robustness, and manufacturability
Develop and evaluate prototypes, including performance characterization and validation activities
Drive innovation through exploratory research and development of new consumable products and manufacturing technologies
Support technology transfer from R&D into manufacturing and ensure successful implementation of new processes
Provide technical leadership in polymer synthesis, resin functionalization, material characterization, and chromatography consumable development
Identify opportunities to improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and process reliability
Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
Prepare technical reports, presentations, invention disclosures, and scientific documentation
Present scientific findings to leadership teams, customers, and scientific audiences as needed
Experience and Qualifications
PhD in Polymer Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience
or
Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience
Experience in process development, scale-up, and manufacturing support for chromatography consumables, separation materials, or related technologies
Skills and Competencies
Strong expertise in polymer synthesis, resin modification, and material characterization
Knowledge of chromatography principles, separation science, and consumable product development
Experience supporting technology transfer and manufacturability assessments
Strong experimental design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation skills
Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges independently
Excellent scientific communication, technical writing, and presentation skills
Strong project management and organizational capabilities
Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Management, and Operations teams
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment

Compensation
The monthly salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €3 441,67–€5 166,67.
