We’re looking for a Senior Developer (DevExp & Productivity) to join us at Telia.

I’m Vaidotas Bakša, Head of DevSecOps Services, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We're a forward-thinking team on a mission to deliver best-in-class developer experience - building developer portals, engineering analytics, and AI agents for Telia's community of 3,000+ engineers.

What you’ll do:

You'll join a tech-heavy, startup-like environment where you'll build and improve the platforms and tools that Telia's engineers rely on every day. You’ll be supported by experienced peers and encouraged to explore ideas that make a meaningful impact. You also will:

  • Develop and extend our Internal Developer Portal (Backstage), automation templates and AI-powered developer tooling.

  • Build and enhance our Software Engineering metrics and analytics platform, aggregating data across the developer toolchain into actionable insights.

  • Design and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power our developer experience ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams across Telia to understand pain points and deliver solutions that make developers' lives easier.

What will help you thrive in this role:

You're someone who enjoys building, is curious about new technologies, and is motivated to find better ways to support fellow engineers. You also have:

  • Software engineering experience (4+ years) with strong skills in TypeScript/Node.js and React, and solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.

  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (beyond just SQL - performance tuning, schema design, operational troubleshooting) and data processing tools such as Kafka.

  • Proficiency with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes for containerized deployments and infrastructure management.

  • Experience with or strong interest in Internal Developer Platforms (Backstage, Port, Humanitec), engineering analytics, or AI-powered developer tooling (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor).

Monthly salary range for this position - 4300-6400 Eur (gross) + annual performance bonus. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
