As a core member of our Backup team in IT Operations group, you will work with dedicated professionals to ensure our clients maintain access to their critical information assets while keeping Citco ahead of industry trends.

Your Role: 

• You will be part of an experienced technical team responsible for maintaining and managing backup infrastructure, addressing the availability and security of backed data
• Ensure the backup infrastructure is kept up to date, from both hardware and software perspective. Implement appropriate methodologies, standards and best practices.
• Automating manual tasks to increase execution speed and minimize the risk of human error
• Providing current usage reports and future growth trends, capacity planning and storage optimization
• Provide backup infrastructure KRI reports to external and internal auditors, IT management and OCM teams
• Planning and delivery of Backup infrastructure road map, DR and HA strategy
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and runbooks
• Conduct regular backup and recovery testing to ensure data integrity and system reliability
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure backup systems meet compliance requirements and security standards
• Monitor Service Desk and JIRA queues and comply with quality guidelines when managing incidents.
• Respond and comply with escalation policies and procedures
• Provide 8x5 operational support. Promptly respond to telephone calls, voicemail and emails.
• Participate in weekend on-call schedule and be available to respond telephone calls in emergency situations
• Resolve and document system errors and performance issues
• Perform root cause analysis of critical errors and outages

About You:

• You have 5+ years of hands-on experience in the IT infrastructure area, with a focus on backup and recovery systems
• 3+ years of backup system administration experience (e.g. Cohesity, Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Rubrik, Commvault)
• Good knowledge of Veritas NetBackup technology, SAN/NAS enterprise storage systems, VMware vSphere and database backup experience (SQL, Oracle)
• Experience with Automation technologies / tools (PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible or Jenkins)
• Experience with cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions (AWS and Azure)
• Ability to develop and implement backup and recovery policies and procedures
• Adaptability to change technologies and business needs
• You are self-motivated, innovative and analytical with strong attention to details and the ability to think laterally for problem solving
• You can meet deadlines and change priorities. Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment, sometimes independently and sometimes as part of a project team

Salary Range

2500EUR - 4000EUR Monthly Gross
