Our client – "DiPocket Group", is a European Embedded Financial Services provider, complementary to and independent from banks, offering payment and technology infrastructure to corporates, fintechs and smaller credit institutions. Use cases include, among others, solutions for funds disbursement, corporate purchases, employee benefits, and gift cards, which DiPocket is able to offer both in the EEA and the UK.
They are expanding their team in Lithuania by hiring an Senior Accounting Lead to join our already established international Finance team. As an Accounting Lead, you will be responsible for all accounting activities of the Lithuanian entity, combining leadership with hands-on execution.
Job description
- Perform day-to-day general accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger journal entries e.g. accruals, deferred costs
- Develop and enforce proper accounting methods,policies and principles.
- Work in cooperation with DiPocket Group international accounting team and outsourced accountants
- Lead month-end closing including planning, coordinating, scheduling, and reviewing financial operations
- Assist externalaccountants with localVAT returns
- Prepare the consolidated financial statements and external reporting package monthly
- Cooperate with auditors during year-end audits
- Propose ideas to improve/automate processes and drive efficiencies
Requirements
- Education in Accounting/Finance/Economics
- 5-7 years’ experience in accounting, preferably within an Accounting Firm, demonstrating a successful career track
- Extensive relevantaccounting and tax experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS would be a plus
- Attention to details, teamwork, effective time management, responsibility, diligence
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Leadership skills and willingness to manage a team
- Fluent English language
- MS office skillsand good accounting software skills
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be a plus
