We’re looking for an Operations Manager to join us at Telia.

I’m Vilma Mačiūnaitė-Uckevičienė, Head of Corporate Technologies & Services, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re looking for an Operations Manager to join our Corporate Technologies & Services unit — the team behind the systems that power our Finance, Planning & Reporting, Supply Chain, and HR business lines.

What you’ll do:

As Operations Manager, you will play a key coordination role during critical financial closing periods (monthly, quarterly, and yearly). You’ll make sure that our teams, vendors and internal business users are aligned and performing seamlessly- ensuring smooth period closing activities across the company.

This role is ideal for someone who stands out under pressure (tense and urgent situations to make things quickly), enjoys connecting the dots between technology, finance and people, and has a passion for operational excellence.

  • Lead period-end operations for Finance, Planning & Reporting systems — ensuring stability, accuracy, and timely IT support.
  • Act as the central coordination point between Finance business teams, internal SAP experts, and external service providers during closing period.
  • Plan and manage all operational activities during financial closings, including communication, escalation, and issue resolution (from IT side, and with alignment with business counterparts).
  • Apply ITIL best practices in incident, problem, and change management processes if, and when needed.
  • Support and understand key financial accounting and consolidation processes (conceptually or practically).
  • Conduct post-close reviews, reporting, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze and report on operational data, performance KPIs, and service metrics. Participating in domain regular operational governance practices
  • Committed and willing to work overtime during working days extended hours during critical closing windows (typically 1+week once per month). On call duty during weekend - once per month for the same purpose.
  • Coordinate problem management process, documentation (RCA) and closure practices together with ITSM community
  • Be Escalation point and point of contact for our Operational Excellence Lead

What will help you thrive in this role:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Understanding of financial accounting, consolidation, and reporting processes.
  • User Experience with SAP a big plus but not must (ideally FI/CO, BPC, SAC or BW).
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles and IT service operations a big plus.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, especially in time-sensitive environments.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.

Monthly salary range for this position 3900-5800 Eur (gross) + annual performance bonuses.  Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
