As a Market Operations intern, you’ll support our European Market Operations team and gain hands-on experience with the backstage operations of Nasdaq’s exchanges and Central Security Depositary. You will belong to a team that is part of the central finance organization and get the chance to see Nasdaq as a whole and how we work across the globe. In the intern role you will get an opportunity to work on some team tasks and gain hands on experience, as well as test out your capabilities by delivering your own internship project related work of the team.
 

We are looking for students with an interest in capital markets, who likes to analyze, solve problems and is interested to improve our processes. To thrive in this role, you should be structured, accurate, and curious, as the role includes working in different systems with manually tracking data, perform real operational work and solving problems. The team will support you over the summer and you will gain valuable, practical, and hands-on knowledge and experience working in our fast-paced, highly collaborative, and creative work environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support our teams with day-to-day tasks and contribute to ongoing initiatives enhancing our European markets operations.
  • Use your skills in Excel to analyze and work with data
  • Collaborate with teammates across different functions and regions.
  • Bring your ideas and curiosity to problem-solving and project work.
  • Take part in a global internship community, learning session and mentorship to accelerate your growth.
     

What We’re Looking For:

  • Studying a program within Financial Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or similar graduating 2027 or 2028.
  • Curiosity and interest in capital markets paired with strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office
  • Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and contribute to a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills in English and organizational skills.
     

Nice-to-Have:

  • Previous experience working in any automation tools

This role is at our Vilnius office, close to a bus stop for easy access and with restaurants and shopping centers close by. The position is on-site in Vilnius, therefore candidates from Vilnius are prioritized in the process. Hourly salary (Gross): 10 EUR.
