Responsibilities
As the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will define and drive our infrastructure strategy, ensuring it aligns with business goals and industry standards. This is a leadership role focused on strategic direction, team development, and cross-functional collaboration β with minimal hands-on involvement.
- Shape and execute the IT infrastructure roadmap to support business growth, emphasizing scalability, performance, and security
- Lead a team of infrastructure engineers, guiding them in the management of Linux-based systems and the implementation of best practices to ensure reliability and uptime
- Oversee security and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and DORA, in collaboration with InfoSec and compliance teams
- Provide strategic oversight of virtualization and containerization platforms (Proxmox VE, KVM, Docker) and explore cloud integrations where appropriate
- Champion automation and efficiency, promoting the use of tools such as Ansible and Terraform to streamline operations and reduce manual overhead
- Direct disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring infrastructure resilience and minimizing business risk
- Foster a collaborative culture, aligning infrastructure efforts with the needs of security, software development, and business stakeholders
- Use performance and monitoring insights (from tools like Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana) to drive data-informed decisions and continuous improvement
- Manage vendor relationships and budgets, ensuring cost-effective service delivery and alignment with long-term infrastructure goals
Requirements - 5+ years of leadership experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably within Linux-based and open-source environments
- Demonstrated success in managing teams responsible for complex infrastructure, including high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Strategic understanding of Debian-based and RPM-based Linux distributions and associated operational practices
- Strong foundational knowledge in networking, security, firewalls, VPNs, and best practices β used to guide and evaluate technical decisions
- Experience leading teams that work with infrastructure automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) and scripting (Bash, Python)
- Familiarity with database infrastructure (SQL/NoSQL), especially around performance, scaling, and backup strategies
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and IT governance frameworks relevant to the financial industry
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and align teams across IT, development, and business functions
