About the role
The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulatory standards. This role will involve effective communication with accounting teams, tracking company expenditures, and assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the finance department and outside accounting firms, ensuring clarity and accuracy in financial reporting
- Monitor and track all company expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and financial goals
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
- Facilitate both external and internal audit processes regarding financial statements, providing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries to ensure compliance and transparency
- Conduct detailed analyses of financial statements to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable insights to management
- Oversee the process of preparing and delivering financial reports to internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities, particularly in compliance with the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) licensing requirements
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal control procedures to ensure financial accuracy and integrity throughout the organization
- Identify areas for improvement within financial processes and lead initiatives aimed at enhancing financial efficiency and operational effectiveness
- Actively participate in finance-related projects and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the overall strategic goals of the company
- Ensure compliance with reporting standards and industry best practices, keeping abreast of changes in regulations and applying them accordingly to financial operations
- Perform other tasks as required that are related to the financial operations of the company, contributing to the overall success of the finance department
Your qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial control, accounting, or a similar role, preferably within the financial services or cryptocurrency industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations, including experience with MiCA compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with cryptocurrency trading platforms is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in Lithuanian and English languages

- Monthly salary based on experience and results, ranging from 3500 to 4500 EUR gross (specific salary will be discussed individually, based on the candidate's experience)
