BI / Data Engineer (Power BI)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Whether you're in the heart of Lithuania or anywhere else in the country, you will join forces with dedicated professionals in the financial sector, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful data and business intelligence projects, working with complex datasets and modern BI solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Analyze data required for BI semantic data models.
• Prepare data for BI semantic models, including data cleansing, transformations, calculations, and aggregations in data warehouses and/or data models.
• Design, create, extend, and modify BI semantic data models (on-premise and/or cloud platforms).
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain BI reports and dashboards.
• Apply BI best practices, performance-optimized solutions, and follow BI tool vendor recommendations when developing data models and reports.
• Prepare technical specifications for data transformations, semantic data models, and BI reports.
• Prepare deployment plans and participate in deployments between environments.
• Participate in testing activities, identify and resolve deviations from requirements before and after deployment to production.
• Respond promptly to customer comments, feedback, and change requests.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet quality, professionalism, and reliability standards.
• Participate in regular result reviews with the customer and agree on next steps (remotely or by other agreed means).
• Maintain continuous and professional collaboration with the customer.

WHAT WE EXPECT:

• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, data processing, analysis, and storage.
• Proven experience in BI projects, including:
  • Data analysis and preparation for BI semantic data models (data cleansing, transformations, aggregation, calculation rules) using SQL and Power Query (and/or Python).
  • Design and implementation of BI semantic data models on server/on-premise and/or cloud platforms, applying performance and optimization best practices.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Power BI, including:

• Development, modernization, and maintenance of dashboards and reports.
• Application of BI vendor best practices for performance and memory optimization.
• SQL proficiency with hands-on experience writing and optimizing queries.
• Experience working with large datasets and data analysis tools.
• Ability to perform data and business process analysis and prepare technical documentation/specifications.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to translate business needs into technical BI solutions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.

WHAT WE OFFER:

Salary ranges (for employees in Lithuania only): 

• BI / Data Engineer (mid–senior level): €3,000 – €4,500 gross

• Senior BI / Data Engineer (strong semantic modeling & BI optimization focus): €3,500 – €5,500 gross

(the given range is flexible and depends on your experience).
