Your day-to-day:

  • Act as the main point of contact and dedicated Account Manager for B2B customers within the China market, maintaining consistent communication via localized channels (WeChat, email, phone, online, in-person) to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Proactively identify and drive new upsell opportunities within the Chinese account portfolio, managing each deal through to successful closure.
  • Generate new ideas for value-creating activities tailored to Chinese customers (localized campaigns, feedback collection channels, market-specific use cases). ;
  • Act as the primary product advocate, competently addressing technical topics and providing guidance to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee and maintain CRM data quality (including status updates, opportunity tracking, tasks, conversions, and data enrichment), ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.

Your skills & experience:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience managing customer engagements, with a proven track record of driving positive outcomes for clients.
  • Fluency in written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin Chinese, along with excellent business English.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and deep understanding of Chinese business etiquette, negotiation norms, and corporate culture.
  • Customer advocacy: Strong internal communication skills to effectively represent customer interests and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic mindset to identify and drive account expansion opportunities.
  • Effective objection handling: confidence in handling difficult conversations and turning challenges into solutions.
  • Comfortable handling technical topics and coordinating across teams to resolve issues.

Nice to have:

  • Previous Customer Success / Account Management / Sales experience at a B2B SaaS or data company specifically dealing with APAC/Chinese enterprises
  • Hands-on sales or account management experience utilizing WeChat
  • Negotiation skills and experience managing contract discussions.
  • Familiarity with data concepts.
